SLM GP & Heal With Hollie Partnership

We are pleased to announce our new partnership with Heal With Hollie, a neurodiversity-affirming counselling service supporting adults navigating ADHD, autism and AuDHD. It gives SLM GP patients a clear, trusted onward route when what they need most is specialist therapeutic support.

What partnership in healthcare really means

Good healthcare is a shared process. Your doctor brings clinical training, experience and an understanding of the available options. You bring knowledge of your symptoms, your history, your day-to-day life and what matters most to you. The best decisions are made when both perspectives are taken seriously.

That doesn't mean arriving knowing what's wrong. It means feeling able to ask questions, explain your concerns, and understand why a test, prescription, referral or period of monitoring is being recommended.

A patient-centred approach isn't about agreeing to every request. Sometimes tests aren't needed, antibiotics are unlikely to help, or urgent assessment is the right next step. It's about explaining the reasoning clearly and making decisions with care, respect and honesty.

Why we've partnered with Heal With Hollie

Hollie is a fully qualified MBACP integrative counsellor working with adults who are newly diagnosed, self-identifying, or simply curious.

She works from lived experience, having been diagnosed with ADHD herself at 36, and describes her approach as collaborative and flexible rather than one-size-fits-all — meeting clients with curiosity rather than judgment, and offering tools that support emotional wellbeing.

Practically, for our patients:

Sessions in the format that works. Face-to-face in Bromborough, Wirral, or online, telephone and WhatsApp across the UK.
No diagnosis required. Formally diagnosed, self-identifying or exploring — all welcome.
A free introductory chat before committing to anything.
50-minute sessions, weekly or fortnightly, with concessions available.

Hollie provides counselling, not formal diagnostic assessment. What she offers is support in understanding your needs and navigating referrals and workplace or educational accommodations.

Being heard can change the consultation

At SLM GP, consultations are available in person and remotely, with same-day, evening and weekend availability for people across Liverpool and Merseyside.

Speed matters, but not at the expense of thoughtful care. A prompt appointment is most valuable when it comes with careful questions, a clear plan, and advice about what to do if things change.

Continuity makes decisions easier

Seeing the same doctor or a small clinical team over time is especially helpful for ongoing concerns. They're more likely to understand your previous symptoms, treatment responses and circumstances without you starting from the beginning every visit.

That's true for asthma, migraine, blood pressure, skin problems and menopause — and it's equally true for neurodivergent adults, who often arrive having repeated their story to many different people without much changing. A doctor who knows the background can spot patterns, revisit earlier decisions, and recognise when specialist support like Hollie's is needed.

A more personal standard of care

Healthcare can feel impersonal when services are stretched. A better experience isn't about unnecessary tests or complicated treatment. It's about having the time and access to discuss what's happening, understand your options, and leave knowing what to do next.
