Frequently Asked Questions
Health Records
SLM GP use a secure electronic health record. Although we do not have access to your NHS GP notes, we will ask for information prior to your appointment to help us understand your medical history. If you have access to the NHS app we can also use this in your consultation.
NHS GP Communication
We would always recommend sharing the details of any appointment with SLM GP with your usual practitioner for the safest and smoothest patient journey. However, this is your decision and we will only share information with your consent.
Prescriptions
If a prescription is recommended during your appointment we can issue this electronically. The prescription can then be collected in any pharmacy or you can choose to have your prescription delivered for an additional fee. We charge a small administration fee of £5 which covers all prescription costs per consult.
Referrals
If we think you need a referral to a specialist, we will offer to arrange this free of charge to one of our trusted specialists. If you decide to pursue a referral via your NHS GP we will communicate our opinion to your usual practitioner with your consent.
